And yet a photograph can only show the outside &#8211; even what we might interpret from the look in an eye, is only a guess based on our own evaluation. This was particualrly brought home to me recently when taking photos of someone who doesn&#8217;t have good control of her facial muscles &#8211; what looks like a fierce glare may actually be a benign glance.<\/p>\n<p>This summer, I started a project photographing people together with a mirror showing what lies in their heart. <a href=\"http:\/\/thebeargallery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/3xherz.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-159\" src=\"http:\/\/thebeargallery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/3xherz-1024x459.jpg\" alt=\"3xherz\" width=\"1024\" height=\"459\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thebeargallery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/3xherz-1024x459.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/thebeargallery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/3xherz-300x135.jpg 300w, http:\/\/thebeargallery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/3xherz-768x344.jpg 768w, http:\/\/thebeargallery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/3xherz.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWhat would you choose to show?
